I've Been Working on the Railroad

Building a U.S. "Rail-Enabled" Willys Jeep MB (35015) Tamiya 1/35

First of all I'd like to say that this project was born when I saw a photo on the book: JEEP - THE UNDESTRUCTIBLE, D. Denfeld / M. Fry, Ballantines Books Inc. , New York, pages. 86, 87 e 125. The photo showed a jeep with steel train wheels over a rail road. So I thought, it could be a nice way to build a MB jeep, because it wasn't the usual version we all are get used to seeing. For this project I choose the old Tamiya model. First because it isn't a very detailed and precise model. Second because I had already had this model in stock. And finally since this project wouldn't involve major surgery, because I wasn't willing to put at risk a brand new Tamiya MB (I'm reserving this model to make a jeep used by the Brazilian Expeditionary Force soldiers on the Italy during WWII). So let's move to the model and build it….
