Vendors
There were quite a few vendors on hand Saturday for the show. Michael Bishop was there with his Monroe Perdu items as usual. Mike had an entry in the show for the first time this year. Make sure to checkout this "Afghanistan Banana-stand" dio. Also onhand was R&K Productions, a US importer of Pegaso, Romeo, Metal Models and many other quality brands as well as being the publisher of Historical Miniature Magazine. I made certain they knew about our site and many Pegaso oriented features. Several other clubs were there as well. The Orange County IPMS was there to promote the upcoming IPMS Nationals in Anaheim in August. And there was also a stand by the LA Miniaturists. It was nice to see their involvement this year.
Auction
I managed to attend the auction for the first time this year. And yes the auction bug did bite me a few times. There was one piece I could not see go for such a small (to me) amount so I had to bid on it. There was even an older piece by our own Joe (clansman) Hudson. Some of the items went for a very good price. So next time I might be better prepared and armed with a check or cash.

About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I started building models in 1971 when I was 6. My first model was a 1/32 P-40 Warhawk. Revell I believe. From there I moved onto the standard cars, Apollo spacecraft, and other kid orientated kits. I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...

Pat, Yes that was Michael Collins (by Dave Kennedy) and the show was on St. Patrick's Day as well. Cheers, Jim

Nice presentation. I'll have to watch that video a few more times to figure out how to get the copyright and logo added to the photos.

the vendor selling Pegaso & Romeo kits at the show looks to be Ron & Kim Souza of R&K Productions, the North American distributor for both product lines, as well as Vallejo, Masterclass, White Models, Seil Model, etc. They are also the publisher of the quarterly Historical Miniatures magazine. FYI.

Gray, Thanks for the tip. I will try to remember to chat with them longer next time. They were very busy at their stand most of the time so the best I managed was to give Ron a leaflet for HF. I really loved his Marco Polo figure. I am surprised you don't make it over the big hills for this show? I am assuming you have been in the past. Thanks, Jim

Hey there, Jim! Thanks for the great show report. Your pictures came out great. Nice to see you can get some good results with that "howitzer" you were lugging around the show It was a real pleasure meeting you and shooting the "you-know-what."
