Well I知 starting some of the 1/700 .50cals for my grandfathers ship dio and wondering whats the best way to go about building and painting them?
With the gun and the shield deferent colors I知 wondering should I glue them together and then paint or should I paint them before glueing together.
Also wondering if any one has any advice for painting such small parts.

Jacob,

Since I'm an old guy with eyes that don't work as well as they used to I would paint them separately. The bond may be a little less strong but I think the definition between the painted parts would be better. To paint the small parts you could get a tooth pick with just a tiny bit of glue on the end and glue it to a spot on the part that is covenant then paint the part. After it dries then carefully twist the tooth pick to separate it from the part. Remember though to use a very small amount of glue.....

Don't for get to give the raw pe a vinegar bath - outside. It adds tooth to the pe and helps the paint stick.

I値l paint them apart then.

To hold them I知 thinking of just setting it in a small piece of bluetac.

And I値l give the vinegar I try.
