Hi Erwin,

Love the finished build, the ice and the groundwork are especially attractive.

Was the snow from the UK company that you told me about? It looks really effective settled in amongst the grass, really windblown. It's inspired me to have a go at snow on my next build, .

Have really enjoyed following your build, and thanks for sharing the pics of your completed diorama, it's excellent.

Cheers, ,

G

I thank thee, gentlemen, for the kind words...

G.: yes, both the snow and the ice sheet are from Krycell. Works rather effectiv. For the snow on the ground,I first whetted the required areas with dilluted white glue, before sprinkling on the snow. The edge along the waterline, was created using Insta-snow, from the same makers. This is a paste, which allows to build up a edge like this. I used a broad brush to create the wind swept effect.
The Chinese acryl chunks were treated with Krycell Snow & Ice Wash, taking away the unnatural shine, blending it with the ice sheet...

Hi Erwin,

Thanks for the feedback on how you did the snow and ice. You've certainly managed to 'nail it' in my opinion, so I might be asking for some guidance 'if and when' I get around to having a go myself, .

Again, an excellent diorama.

Cheers, ,
