holy cow, that is some weathering, it looks like it's been abandoned in a field for 50 years. it looks fantastic but a little over the top for my own personal taste.

thanks for sharing your build with us.

I like the mud and dirt on this M-10 . Looking at period photos , the Eastern front was a mud bog at times . But to each his own . A couple of this that I noticed though , it looks to have steel shoe track ( hard to see with no close ups ) , if so , you wouldn't have had the groucers issued ( not used/needed on steel track ) , and all 6 wheel assemblies are on backwards

Face palm...

Thanks Jim! That bogie mistake is really silly! The kit provided T49 steel tracks so like you said they probably shouldn't have grousers, that's easy to fix.

As for weathering, I don't doubt the mud but perhaps David thought the upper portion was too weathered. I was working off of this photo. But this is my first real effort in olive drab so I'm sure it could be better. Now I'll go and fix the bogies

Love the weathering as it really shows that tanks do spend their times in the mud and is in beautiful contrast to those lightly-dusted kits I've seen that look showroom-condition. I also appreciate the Soviet-theme in particular as I've mentioned before as many Soviet citizens simply did not know anything about Lend-Lease and their school history curriculum allegedly makes virtually no mention of that critical aid when they were on the ropes. Somehow their Government not acknowledging outside assistance during their Patriotic War doesn't surprise me as much as disappoints. Ingrates.

Thanks Frank. I fixed the misdirected bogies and touched up on the figures, but more importantly I overdid the contrast on the original photos so the weather looked way overcooked. Here's how it should be. Turns out the grousers were much harder to remove and I damaged the rack in the process, so I left them be.
