Looks like a fun build for the experience builder.

This is a vehicle I've avoided over the years. plastic kits of it were usually of sketchy quality, or you could buy an expensive resin conversion. It appears its time to jump in and build one of these.

Great review Nick!

I have to agree with C-66

Even though, I tried to avoid postings to command tracks like the plague

Being one of those loons that clamored long and loud for this vehicle over the past couple of years I felt compelled (sure) to buy BOTH the Takom and Meng kits; they're both Ausf "A"s and they're both very similar and undoubtedly excellent. The differences between a "D" and an "A" (outside of the spade)is pretty subtle so back-dating is possible with the extras going into the spares box. One of them -can't remember which- includes the casting that Tiger Model Designs included as their excellent $150 resin conversion set, except in styrene, which makes that particular kit extremely desirable. Hence I have both. Smile.
