Hi, as I never built Zvezda kits in 1/35, I decided to try one of thir recent kits. So I bought a SU-100 tank destroyer, kit number 3688, it's new tool and I'm very pleased what you get for in the box for such low price (around 20$).
Maybe I will add some aftermarket such as metal barrel, engine mesh, tow cable and eventually Miniart tracks, but OOB it's very nice model. I will pick also the new T-34/76 Uralmash when it's in stock.
I bought also new paint from Gunze/Mr.Hobby: MrColor C-511 Russian green 4BO WW2, which i think is very good match.

Very interesting, beautiful vehicle. Keep posting photos of your work and comment what do you think about the kit once built!

I really like they included link and length plastic tracks, instead of rubber band ones ( I have several Dragon DS tracks desintegradting when I deided to use them ), and with good detail on them.
Overall quality looks great already, fit of the parts will be tested udring the construction

Hi Venelin,

I‘ll be following your build with interest - I have this kit in my stash and might give it a go next year. I‘ll be replacing the tracks, engine screen, tow cable and barrel as well, but it looks like a very decent kit, especially for the money.

I agree, Carlos, the SU-100 definitely has that mean-looking, low-slung appearance of many Soviet AFVs, very cool.

Hi,
The tracks are very nice, but don't have cast numbers on them, I'm still not decided if I will replace them. I have in mind a winter dio with figures, so probably the tracks will be covered with snow and will not be a big deal

Cheers!

Bully for you Stevie for keeping this under 6 minutes. It's maddening how some people take 20 or 30 minutes to show what's in a kit box and never even open a bag or cut a part off a sprue! There was one I just walked away from when it hit the 10 minute mark and he hadn't gotten to the point of actually opening the box.

I bought Voyager PE set, mainly for the engine mesh and grilles, but there are plenty of hinges locks etc., for additional detailing
There's also a very nice resin commander cupola with texture, but probably I will not use it, because of the solid periscopes-there are clear ones included in the kit.
I ordered also metal barrel and tow cables.

Hi Venelin,

Voyager PE sets are usually pretty accurate and useful, but I hope this one fits your kit because it‘s designed for the DML ones.

Thanx, Kurt. Yeah.....I have a low attention span and mainly skip through a lot of videos until it comes to an interesting bit! I keep my videos short for like minded people
My favourite quote is from Homer Simpson when he says QUIT BORING EVERYONE!!!!! LOL

Hi!
Yes I knew it's for Dragon kits, but I saw several builds that used this set on the old Zvezda Su-100 and thought it wil fit
My main concern was the engine grilles and mesh, but I checked them on the hull and they're OK
I like Voyager, because they include more parts and some additional stuff for the same or lower price than Aber, not to say Eduard.
Only Microdisign from Russia has set exactly for the new Zvezda kit, but I still prefer this one

Regards!
