The charging figure is really only appropriate for the 1940 French campaign. The Highland regiments were brought fully into line with Battledress and the kilt went into abeyance for the duration. Some officers chose to wear it, they had more scope for ignoring regulations, but 1940 was the last time you were likely to see OR wearing it. In addition it was normally worn with a khaki kilt cover, a sort of apron which covered the front of kilt and contained a pocket corresponding to the position where a sporran would be worn.

Hello, Steve!

ABOUT TIME we saw some new WWII Scots! SCOTLAND THE BRAVE!!!

BTW, THANKS for the very detailed info!

The the people that are involved in the "France, 1940" campaign on this site may appreciate these new figures!

PS- The Officer's hair seems a bit long-ish for British Army Regulations, am I right..? (Easily fixed with an X-Acto Knife and some careful sanding, though)

The pointing guy looks a little cartoonish! Although, to be fair, I've seen some pretty funny looking people!

Hi, Biggles!

You're RIGHT, again! What do you think of my "hair comment" regarding the Officer? Seriously, am I right about the length of his hair?

The kilt cover should be included as an optional piece. I converted an Airfix multipose figure to this back in the day. I left the cover off so I could paint the tartan.

Looks like the officer has curly hair so the sculpted hair looks longer. Besides he's a Scotsman.
