Lt. Col. Dick Cole has passed at 103. He was the last surviving member of the Doolittle Raiders being the co-pilot for Doolittle himself during the April 18, 1942 raid on Tokyo. He served in both World War 2 and the Korean War. Our hearts go out to his family and we remember today the hero he was. Blue skies Dick Cole.

It's now officially the end of an era for this gallant chapter in military history. For those who don't understand the significance of LtCol Coles passing, read "30 Seconds Over Tokyo" and "The First Heroes".
