Not letting any grass grow under my bench I have begun something new.

Yeah, how hard can that be - some lead foil, brass, then just “slather” on some paint...!! Lol - if it was just that easy....great work as always, Jerry

Really nice work! The mane & tail look natural,, almost like you used bits from an old wig, or similar frizzy item.

Ok , I'm going to be the first one , someone always has to be the bigger person and let Jerry have it , I'm surprised no one else has had the foresight to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity .

Got some groundwork finished up finally. Had a hard time getting back to the bench after the awesome vacation we had.

Good job J. love the mane and tail. Just one observation. Being a horse person (my family breeds horses), there is one thing about chestnut colored horses; their coat tends to be darker at the top, and lighter toward the sides and bottom of the belly. I know you are also playing with light, but it struck me as odd. Here are a couple of examples:

I think a how-to on the horses would be pretty great myself, as I have been contemplating the Florian Geyer German cavalry figure set by Dragon but painting animals is something I've not done yet.

Good point! Thanks. The pics I took of some much less purebred horses didn't show that as much. This horse is a lowly farmhorse and a worker. Your pics there show a superb horse/s. Arabian stock? I see the smallish nose.
