This mortar is fantastic! I don't know much about this weapon system and will have to read up. Any chance this thing showed up during WW2, perhaps in static emplacements near Germany?

last night with my son I was watching a very accurate historical film .... Wonder Woman ... and at a certain point you can see the Germans shooting from the trenches with a mortar very similar if not the same.
