Hope this one will not be the same version than the Panda Hobby kit.

New tool or updated moulds of their first strykers ?

There is only one Stryker Dragoon. I spend my money on AFV Club, after I finished my Dragoon scratchbuild/conversion.

They only need a new hull deck, turret and wider tires.

M1296 Stryker Dragoon

It was fielded late last year and only to 2 SCR in Germany. Only 82 will be built and only for use in Europe.

this will be Pands'a first stryker maybe you are thinking about trumpeter.
Trumpeter makes a model of every varient except the M1128 Mobile
Protected Gun System which is only made by AFV Club

As somebody who prefers an easier build (with decent accuracy) over a more accurate (but fiddly to build) model, I hope that Trumpeter puts out a Dragoon someday. I'd love to see them make an MGS too. In the meantime, I'll get the Panda Dragoon (crossing my fingers that it's buildable) and the AFV Club Dragoon (knowing that there will be a ton of fiddly bits). Be nice if they'd put out the never-purchased Stryker Howitzer or the Anti-Aircraft variant the vendors built too. My skills aren't up to scratching either one.

Somewhat OT - is the assault gun variant with the 105mm cannon still in service? Haven't seen many pics of it lately deployed in Europe. One would think that with the increased push to improve leathality of these vehicles, this variant would find itself in demand.

For sure, the M1128 Mobile Gun System is still alive and kicking. But it´s not an assault gun but rather intended for destroying enemy field fortications. Fighting enemy tanks is the task of the M1134 ATGM variant.

Just semantics but I'm pretty sure that's the role of an assault gun (going back to the Stug's of WW2). To support the infantry by using direct fire on fortifications, entrenched weapons, etc.

I think that 105mm gun would be hard pressed against current Russian tanks.
