Mark Chestnutt shows us his IDF Doher self-propelled howitzer. Mark used AFV Club kit upgraded to IDF standards using Legend conversion.

First of all, this is a superb model. Well done!

Did you use the kit tracks or aftermarket?

Why did you paint all of the rear headlights lenses red?

Any issues with the Legend resin conversion? I am planning to do the same build as you and want to know if you had any problems.

Did you use any other aftermarket stuff?

Thanks in advance, great work

Thankyou for your kind words.

The rear lights are a mistake on my part. I must of misinterpreted a photo when I did the kit a couple of years ago. I will correct them so that only the top half is red. Itís something Iíve never really noticed.

The legend kit is excellent and fits well to the AFV base kit. As normal with legend there is clean up to do but thatís fairly minimal. I didnít need to use any other items except wire etc from the spares box.

The tracks are the kit tracks. I donít tend to go for aftermarket tracks with modern AFVs because there isnít much sag at all on them. Plus the tracks in the kit look okay to me. They paint up well and the only really sag you get is between the drive sprocket and the first wheel.

I hope that answers your questions. Anything else please just ask?

Regards
Chez
