Well a little more finished side two on the tracks, and put on the first coat of weathering oil on the other side tracks, more to come on there, also did up the front spare tracks, a little touch up and ready for paint. Glad that some of those gaps between the links are all hidden,a real PITA to sand all them nubs off. These are the Miniart tracks.

Cheers

Adding some weathering to the bottom ,and sides, will be more scratches and rust. Already has a filter, and a few washes on it.Will be more. Waiting on that try out paint from Trucolor. Springs painted in rust color, and the pads in rubber.
Cheers

A tad more, about waiting on that Trucolor paint. I will add more effect on the bottom and sides, think will leave that in this color and just use the other paint , for upper hull, and turret.

I’m admiring your very precise construction Jeff, looking really good as a WIP particularly the tracks. I’m confused by how many shades of green are in these photos though & was wondering whether the blue background was throwing your camera off balance? The images with neutral background look more reliable although in some of those I think you’re moving your light-source around (which alters the intensity) so it’s difficult to get a sense of colour-progress. I’d suggest settling on conditions your camera likes the best (i.e. it faithfully reproduces colours) and then stick with it.

Enjoying this build a lot (& btw your actual photography is excellent!), keep up the great work

A little more getting there.
Got set of Mig's set of fuel and oil stuff coming so might have to wait until next week or so to finish this. Dang I do like the look of the T-34, maybe I need to do a T-34 type 85 , have a few in the stash. That and the Panzer III.

Thank you Tim,camera seems to do what it wants to do, older Cannon , I have a newer one but it's pics are like 5 megs a pic, still have not been able to find out how to set them lower it takes better pics, actually my older even, HP took the best pics up close , paid a bunch when it first came out in 2002. Still works and all but I don't use it any more, older 4 battery deal on it, and well on the lights, well this room used to be my R/C aircraft room, and I was going to do a Model Railroad, both gone now, but I put up 6, 4 foot florescent lights, on the ceiling, so about all I can do. And thanks for the compliment, still more to go, more I watch Mig the more one wants to do. LOL

Coming along nicely but one thing you may want to look at: No T-34-76 would have the spare track links on the glacis plate during WWII.
Those links were a common post war upgrade but not during the war.

Now you've done it. I can think of at least two dudes who will not rest until they can find evidence to the contrary.

And I am one of them.

Could look at my Library of Books, but to dang lazy now.

T -34 Mythical weapon, and 6 more.

Thanks for the replies.

And that saw has to go.

Here is one. Granted a Type 85, but they always have them in all kits.

Found 3 more.

This one has the Boss's to mount the tracks.

Well a little more, I might redo that saw not satisfied with it, easy fix to take it off and redo it.

And all refitted and used post war. You are just not going to find a photo of a wartime -76 with those extra tracks. I know, I've tried.

Found it page 63 of The T -34 Mythical Weapon Factory 183 1943 1944.

Tracks just like they said. Right on the front, as a PDF file will see if I can post it here.

My book is in PDF form.

Here it is.

Well, the drawings in Mythical weapon are for the better part not all that good/accurate and what you've posted is a pretty good example of that.
Again, find a period photo and I'd be forced to change my mind (it would still be an extraordinarily rare beast). But I've collected quite a few photos (stopped counting a few years ago but it's well over a thousand) and have quite a fair few books on the tank, it's kind of my thing, and I have yet to see one so fitted in war time photos.
Heck, not even the earlier batches of the -85 had them.

Anyway, it's your model and you can build it however you're happy with. But when it comes to the T-34 I'm kind of an accuracy Nazi.

Well should be one more update after this and call it done.

So on with that, here we go.

Any white spots is dust, I need to clean the room.

My first attempt in weathering a 1/35 scale in over 10 years.
