A welcome addition to the Takom kits. Just need some fuel trucks now.

With so many primary V2 components now on the market there are a number of ancillary vehicles that other hobby manufactures could be offering. Jumping on the V2 band wagon so to speak!

Way to go Trumpeter!

This may seem like a small thing but I really wish Takom would have included the trailer like this: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/978143-adv-azimut-modell-35082-v-2-firing-table-and-trailer to their kits. That would look really nice being towed behind the Sd.Kfz.7/3 Feuerleitpanzer.

Smart idea - why flood the market with multiple V2s when you can use existing moulds and release a complimentary vehicle!

I will vote for that. It could easily become necessary to collect/produce an entire mobile launch facility!

Well, this is an important one for sure-- not just because it was used to control the launch of the V-2, but because it was the prime mover for the launch table during transport. As good as the Takom kits are, nobody's released the towing dolly for the launch table yet-- still need one of those. Maybe Trumpeter will add that too.

Well this is the start of the intrest of the othere manfactures to step in to the V-2 game.
I hope the will also do a convertion of the Steyr 2000 in to the spannungs versorgungs wagen.
In deed a good but also compleet table-trailer, the tankttrucks, a Fiat TM 40 primemover, a TATRA 6500/111, a good O2 trailer with O2 pump, the pumptrailer and for all the Fries crane to compleet the set.

When looking at the pictures of this new model I see good and bad things.
Hopefully they will correct these bad points in the final model-moulds.
When not there will be some scrach work to do on this one.

The tyres again the rubber type but with a correct profile.

Greetings

Bert

One might have expected them to at least fix the awful fit/placement of the upper hull before featuring it in their flagship photo. Still, a very cool addition. I think I'll have to get me one.

Did it occur to you the upper piece is loose to show off the interior? If it was meant for a trade show display that would be something they would do.

Why of course, and it's the most likely scenario. My comment stands.

This is an exciting development, especially in light of the newly-released V-2 with transport truck. Watching this one closely. And I don't want to hear a single voice saying something about "great! another German halftrack! Wee..." etc. in sarcastic derision. This is bona fide exciting news. We'll see if the other ancillary launch towers, trucks, trailers, etc will emerge. Looking forward to building a LARGE Penemunde dio with these puppies!

Very welcome, but a bit late for me after scratchbuilding one time ago...

Just hope this is a start and we get most of the typical vehicles of a V-2 battery.

Who's going to release a 4x4 Opel Blitz 3,6-6700A and break the market?

Further study reveals this to be a post on their Facebook page. It is the test shot, and my guess is they rushed to get this posted before the Chinese holiday began as their offices will now be closed until March. Looking at the other pics shows they hurried the construction to show what they've been working on, as a number of parts seem a little loose. Pretty sure the guy isn't done with it, as it has none of the photoetch on it yet. Reminds me of a WIP shot where some parts have been dry-fitted. There is even some lint or something in a couple of the pics sitting on a countertop. I am quite sure the finished model in the official release statement will be up to your standards.

Makes sense. Trumpeter has a well-earned reputation for turning out quality kits so no concerns there. Just seems a little off for the marketing section.

@Javier, nice job on the scratched vehicle!

So that's lint in Images 7 & 8? I thought that it might be a dead bug and was a little taken aback by the casualness of the photographer to include that in their press release pics. Still, I'm excited by the announcement and look forward to getting my hands on one -though without the lint- thank you.

In one pic it almost looked like the plastic was burnt, but the other pics showed something fuzzy on it.

In another post, they show a prime mover with a piece of PE that fell over and some short brown hairs caught on a bit of rail. Those guys need to slow it down a bit.

Another German halftrack???? HOT DOG!

Yes, please do the entire launch group of vehicles.

Also anything that gets us a 4x4 Opel Blitz is alright with me! I've waited for that one even longer than I've waited for a new Bergepanther.
