there was a post on here where someone showed how they made their own satellite dishes but for the love of me i can't find it. I think it was part of a middle east diorama but i can't find it can anyone help me please.

I just did a search for satellite dish and got a butt-ton of hits.

yeah i did and i got a lot of links but none to the article/thread i saw them in.

I did a few dishes for a 1/87 (H0) railroad some years ago.
I cut them from table tennis balls. Looks OK for sizes up to almost 1/2-inch. In H0 this works for smallish dishes on houses.
In 1/35 it could work for the small portable communication sets.
The shape isn't totally perfect since they come from a sphere when they should be parabolical.

The inside safety caps of milk cartons are good for a dish.
