Should I apply Archer Fine Transfers on top of a layer of Future or should I apply it directly to the painted surface before Future?

I would put the transfer on first, then cover it with future.
As the glue is tricky , maybe an email to Archer would be the best idea.

I'd have thought you don't need a Future / gloss finish first for dry rub down transfers as they have no surrounding carrier, less thickness, and have a more matt finish than wet decals, so the things you are trying to eliminate by using the glossy finish don't apply to dry transfers. Suggest you save yourself a step.

Hi, i was wondering if I can apply a dry transfer decal on top of a layer of Future or should I only apply it to the painted surface? Thank you! Rich B

Hi Rich,

Either way, doesn’t matter. Dry transfers will adhere to any clean dry surface.
