Nice work Maarten , I figured there had to be some kind of winch or something to raise and lower the masts on larger barges , I just never saw one .

This'll work !!!

I will slip this in my U Boot Bunker build :

My old 1/35 scale waterline Uboot is back for an overhaul ,many small things are missing and some are broken off......i will upgrade its armaments and give it a new paint job.

Scratch build it 20+ years ago every rivet was glued in placed by hand ,and for the last 7 years it was in my brother possession .
It had a nice soapy rinse under the shower to remove dust and cobwebs .

I wish !

This is a late type 7C/41 with a snorkel,
The hatches i think ,you think are for mines are in fact canister for rubber lifeboats.

I remember your TypeIX Uboot very well ,it has the snorkel with the pluming on the out side of the hull .

You're telling me this is 1/35th scale? Holy [auto-censored], I thought it was 1/72nd scale. I'm just blown away. Amazing stuff, Maarten. Three beers for you!

This is looking to be fantastic.
Can't wait to see the U-Boot in situ.

Hopefully I'll be in Lorient next week myself

Cheers

If you stuck all of those rivets on individually then how are you not drooling on yourself by now ?

Rust colors are applied, ready for even more salt and hairspray chipping.
