Since The box includes T-62 I would bet MiniArt has that series in the release plan.

I don't understand, the hull and turret of the T62 are differant from either the T-44/54/55 series.

It has to do with the track not the tank. T-62 tanks still used a lot of T-55 components (the T-62 series started as a variant of the T-55 with a longer hull and different turret to be used as "sniper" tanks on the battlefield, to complement the T-55, not replace it, and still use as many common parts as possible to keep logistics down) and so they used the OMSh track. As the RMSh track became available, and when T-62's went in for major rebuilds, they were given the RMSh track as OMSh track stores were depleted. This is well after the T-72 was in use (the T-72 ushered in the use of the RMSh track for all practical purposes).

Hope that helps.

I am aware of that, I just don't really consider the correct tracks and a number of fitting tooled to be enough evidence that Miniart have a T62 planned.

Ah, I missed the context you had for the message. Ok, got you. I would guess you are correct as well. The Trumpeter kits, for all the heartburn we hear, are not that poor, especially the m72 turret versions. For example, I could care less about the angle of the rear plate to the deck, it is close enough for me. And with the price in a decent range, I would not drop $60-$80 for a new tooled T-62 from Miniart, interior or not. There are still a LOT of other kits Miniart could do that would be better economically.

I think the label for the tracks is just what you can use them on, not necessarily what Miniart is looking to do next.

Hi;

I Concur with JD ! The Box label is just the vehicles that the tracks will fit, and as for the Trumpy, T-62s even tho they were not my favorite Tank, they still built into A pretty nice kit, and Lite Years ahead of the Tamiya kit !

CHEERS; MIKE.

Trumpeter makes a base T-55 which some no doubt are OK with despite the flaws - that isn't stopping MiniArt from producing theirs. Takom also produces some decent T-55s even with inaccuracies that have been described here. And yet MiniArt says they will be producing many versions. Because Trumpeter makes a T-62 doesn't mean MiniArt won't. I've got all of their T-54s, except for the A version. I've paid from $45 to $55 for each of them, not anywhere in the $60 to $80 range.

Nicely-detailed track links regardless of which AFV they end up on. A T-62 would be interesting. Especially with a complete interior.

Those would look good on an early Achzarit.
