I have knocked over multiple bottles of Tamiya extra thin thus melting my cutting mat and numerous model pieces. Plus, I have a bad habit of maneouvering my airbrush around to get into nooks and crannies of whatever I am painting....forgetting that the paint cup has no lid!

Vigorously shaking paint bottle with ball-bearing inside ... forgetting the bottle was glass ... cleanup of office wall and window area ... priceless!

Not as umcommon as you may think.
I've knocked over paint bottles before and that's really irritating. But the worst is the liquid glue. I knocked one of those over once and ruined a build. Since then, I glue the bottle down to a piece of plywood so that I can't knock it over.

great idea !!!

After having knocked over two bottles of Tamiya Extra Thin and a brand new bottle of solder flux, I finally got around to find sheets of dense foam (packaging material), cut a suitable hole in the middle and insert the bottle. Problem solved. Luckily I haven't ruined models, but my cutting mats look funny and the hobby room stank.

I always superglue my bottle of liquid cement to a 4 inch square piece of cardboard. Since I began doing that I have not had a spill. Even when I left the cap off of the brand new bottle of Tenax 7 overnight...
The empty bottle was still upright the next day.

I've been lucky about knocking things over. I am one for getting paint or glue on my fingers then transferring it to my almost finished kit. Always in an obvious spot and sometimes in multiple places before I notice.

These days I do all my model photography indoors (with appropriate lighting). However, I remember a time when I used to work outdoors. On one occasion, I had laid out all the components of a 1/76-scale Centurion tank, ready to photograph them for a step-by-step article ... a sudden gust of wind, and they were scattered over the garden, many of them never to be seen again!

I've had my fair shares of mishaps: glue fingerprints, dropped knives (all missing me) milliput drying on my knife, losing parts, spilling half a bottle of thinner in the living room etc...
But here's a one in a million one for you, the guy at my local model shop was casually airbrushing, when all of a sudden his airbrush clogged. Inspecting it, he found a tiny spider had come down from the ceiling, and into the open paint cup, poor thing!

I know it in a sense. I often use Revell's glue that I use.
Then the needle is clogged very often. Or suddenly there will be a gigantic drop
Out. You are not the only one.
