Well, I actually finished a diorama, so I thought I'd try to tackle something smaller and hopefully quicker. I've always been a fallschirmjager junkie and have close to a dozen in-progress FJ figures on my bench.

The idea is a FJ machine gun team in either Cassino or Ortona, amidst any point of the horrendous combat. The no. 1 gunner has just caught a bullet in the head whilst he and his no. 2 frantically tried to get the next belt into the gun. An NCO acting as their spotter shouts at the no. 2 gunner to take over, while a third well armed yet bloodied para fires off a captured Browning pistol into where he thinks the lucky shot came from.

The FJs had a different style chin strap than the standard Wehrmacht helmet. What I do is use the regular Dragon PE strap, and take spare PE of a second strap to use as the bit that goes behind the ears.
