Congrats to Todd Michalak(TRM5150 and Model Shipwrights Editor-in-chief) for becoming a new AMPS Master with his Best in Show entry at the AMPS International Show in Danbury, CT over the weekend.

It was great to meet so many Armorama members at the show. What a fantastic show! Huge crowds, 602 models on the tables - 12 away from the all time record - massive vendor room packed to the rafters, and lots of friendship and partying! Plus the museum. Excellent weekend!

Er, I mean, Master Michalak!

Wow...thank you guys! I am humbled by all this...being my own worst critic, I never saw this coming at all! I am quite honored, especially after seeing the over 600 models on the table this past weekend!

Aside from the awards haul, this was an outstanding show! There was a fantastic turnout, amazing vendor room to get lost in, awesome raffle (as usual) and yes, 602 models entered!!!

Topping the venue and festivities each day after the show, was indeed getting the opportunity to see some old friends, many of which were from right here on Armorama, and of course the making of new one! A big congrats out to all the Big A members who won something for their efforts! Well done!

Thanks for posting this Kevin! It was great getting to see you again and hang about with you and your wife having a few laughs! But that is what all this stuff is about....having some fun!! To all the other...and I am sure to forget some here...Dana, Brian, Anthony, Chris and many more...LOLO, always great to see you guys! Honestly the one thing that keeps me coming back to the shows is the friends!

A huge thank you needs to go out to all of the AMPS and NMMA members for all the work they did leading p to the show as well as all three days during! Many stepped up and filled judging chair to pull off the huge volume of models needing to be judged!

I'll leave you with "the money shot" to which I am still stunned and probably will be for a while!
