Ahh, the SA-12 Giant missiles. I do hope they produce the radars for these SAM systems

I would not be surprised if they go the full 9 yards with these systems.

Interesting choice that they decided to do the 9a85 trans loader with crane rather than one of the radar equipped TELs...

I want one!

Actually, that is the TEL. The radar for this system (Grillpan) is a separate vehicle. It would also have a second TEL variant, the Gladiator missile ( three on a TEL instead of two)

Yup, would have preferred a 9a82 but will still get this one.

David, in addition to the separate acquisition radar (Grillpan) the two dedicated TELs (9a82 9a83) carry the systems illumination radars on the cab of the TEL, as well as a large generator pack under the launch tubes.

This model looks to be the trans loader vehicle which can be used as a "slave" TEL if either the 9a82 or 83 are present to illuminate. It's easily destinguished by the turn table for the loading crane immediately behind the cab.

The 9a83 with its quad launch tubes would make a great model.

Thanks for the clarification! This will be an awesome model

I submitted this, as news article last week. I'm hoping it will draw more attention to this spectacular vehicle.

I bet they're not very speedy when deployed on those tracks.
