Super job on the weathering & chipping! The "used but not abused" appearance is right on. Like the colors, too.

I really like your build and the weathering is perfectly appropriate without delving into "artistic licence" when it comes to overkill rust, etc. Great job!

The rubber pads were designed to help with wear and tear of road surfaces and could be replaced if lost or worn down to the point of no contact.

We understood that the battle (war) fitting was intended to be, removal of all pads and reversal of the track V so it would face the rear of the tank. This would ensure maximum cross country grip and performance.

Personally I never saw this done, however that is not to say that the D & M school and or test and evaluating teams didn't try that out.

On the rare occasion a crew mistakingly laid out a replacement track facing the wrong way it was quickly pointed out to the delight of other crews.

Fantastic finish, all the subtle variation on an otherwise uniform color really is most impressive.
