These both came out very nice. Great job on the ROK MERDC paint scheme.

However there not too many aftermarket stuff, some PE and resin stowage, but no barrels...

As to AM for them, there is actually quite a bit, you just have to know where to look.

For the K9, DEF Model does a resin and PE update set that is quite extensive. It includes new rear baskets, a resin barrel and mantlet, new sprockets, new commander's cupola and weapons, etc. D-Toys also does a ROK Marine conversion which has resin, PE, and decals and includes a resin crewman as well. Orange Hobby has a metal barrel set and both Orange Hobby and MK1 Design offer PE sets for it. I don't know of any replacement track for the K9.

For the K1A1, Legend has an extensive resin stowage set that includes a whole new rear turret basket assembly full of gear. There is also a PE set from MK1 Design. The barrel for the K1A1 is the same barrel as an M1A1, an M256 barrel. Voyager, RB Model, and Orange Hobby all offer metal/resin M256 barrels. Trumpeter makes replacement, indi-link plastic T156 tracks for the K1A1.

Przemek, you have again, done a fantastic job on these. The South Korean K1 and K2 are two of my favorite vehicles. Your paint jobs really are perfect. You captured the look of the Korean scheme so very well. It looks so much like the old US MERDC scheme. I hope someday to be able to do an early M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley and do the paint justice. Thank you for sharing all of your 2016 builds. You are a prolific modeller who never ceases to amaze.

Regards,

Eric

Przemek, Awesome work on these less than great kits ! You have proved that with good skills and a couple of aftermarket parts you can turn an average kit into something nice.
Thank you for sharing !

Another models completed in 2016 but rerely seen on forums. Pity as they are quite cheap and good. Not much cleanup, very good fiting, maybe missing some details, but very pleasent in build. However there not too many aftermarket stuff, some PE and resin stowage, but no barrels and almost no tracks. That's why models are almost out of the box. I replaced the ropes for EurekaXXL, antennas and their mounts for RB MOdels, same for Brownings barrels. I've addes plates on K9 stowagea and some bags made from tissue and white glue.
Pianting was done according to manual, 4 tone camo was quite challanging and time demanding. Colors were mixed from various Tamiya shades. For the end I've added some vallejo pigments.
Simple base, as vehicles are occupiying a lot of space, so it could end up too crowdy.
