Pawel - I'm bowled over by your field gun. Are you sure its a model and not a real gun in a museum?

I have been having a lot of fun with the Cold war era Trumpeter Soviet D-74 122mm field gun. It has tons of teeny-tiny parts that have been more than a little challenging for my old fat fingers & thumbs. The PE has been even harder. I'll have some pics of a little document holder or something that took quiet a lot of thought to puzzle out a way to fold it a bit later. This was a more advanced kit than I have built in the past but it has been fun to see progress at the end of each session.

Here are a few pics of work done over the weekend:

Had a problem with one of the parts on the Britannia Metal gun, some holes were missing....Great Customer Service from John Garcia,of Model Expo (http://modelexpo-online.com/ ), who within 30 minutes of communication agreed to replace the questionable part! Kudos to him!

Hmmm...a little optimistic on my part, still waiting...

Something new to share - this one is NOT part of the artillery campaign because #1. it was never entered. Also it was originally started many years ago but only finished and painted just this past week, so it really does not qualify. Having recently finished my Dragon sFH 18, 150mm gun for the campaign, it was such an enjoyable experience that I had to go further by completing the only other piece of artillery I had on hand. This one is the old Tamiya Flak 36/37, 88mm kit with the addition of a metal barrel.

One modification to point out: I reworked the forward steering linkage to make it functional so the front wheels actually steer with the swing of the towing bar just as on the real thing!

Hope you like it.

Also added the arm rests to the brakeman's seat and the proper pioneer tools that seemed to be both missing and undocumented in the old Tamiya kit and in the instructions.

A bit more work done on D-74 field gun to report. Most of the subs are done now and the paint mostly squirted on. There were some parts of this that I could not figure out from the destructions. I had to put the parts together to puzzle out where some of the bits went. Here are a few pics taken last night:

Just received the AFV Club PAK 43/41 kit in the mail from eBite.
For some reason I seem to suddenly be going crazy for artillery???
This will be my third big gun in two weeks!

My British 25pdr is completed. Wont be ending up in a diorama any time soon so I haven't bothered with most of the crew.

Nice builds Pawel, Paul, Mike, again Mike ,Iain and Ken!
I've finished assembling the gun of my Su-76M:

Some feedback on the kit(MiniArt #35053)-nice detailing, but plastic too soft,a lot of trimming and test-fitting and a lot-lot-lot of flash.Wrong numbers in the instructions coupled with part numbers not cast on the sprues stretched my resolve almost to the limit.Bottom lime- this is an old(2008) MiniArt kit and since then they did a lot to improve.
I've overcome the doubts and hope you like the gun as much as I like it.

Pawel - the paint chipping and overall look and weathering of your entry is fantastic! It is a study in how to do it right!

Some progress on the PAK 43/41 88mm gun:

(My interests of late have gotten somewhat sidetracked by an unusual Wespe model kit that surfaced recently in my stash.)

The plastic on this AFV Club model is a little on the soft side but still has little to no flash and good detail. If the plastic were a bit harder the detail would be just a bit more crisp and the clean up much easier.

The metal gun barrel included in this kit is excellent.
