What about the Puma with 'Thor'? & the ECM Puma with the large lockers on the read deck? Too many to choose from!

Nice work, ReluctantRenegade; but what about a Doobi with mine plow?

It's 2000hrs here and I'm about to go to work, I'll follow your posts with interest.

A "Nakpadon" is used to supply troops during the Second Lebanese War. Note the extremely heavy armor of the vehicle.
This scene would make an interesting project, wouldn't...?

An "Achzarit" in the same role. Note the improvised cargo space created by using something that appears to be a road guard fence. I might tackle that one day...

A D9 "Doobi" in action in Southern Lebanon during the 2006 war.

A D9 is destroying a Hezbollah stronghold during the 2006 war. Note the proximity of the UN observation post and the damaged dozer blade which seems to be reinforced.

A row of D9's and a Merkava 4 in Northern Israel during the 2006 war.

A D9's towing a damaged Merkava hull (probably a 2D) during the 2006 war. All the damaged heavy equipment was recovered and returned to Israel.

Wow, some great shots. I have never seen several of them, especially the M60 watch tower thing on the 1st post. Would love to model that someday.

RR, you have any more photos of the M60 watch tower? TIA

Well hay nonny nonny, would you look at that, what a beast. Yes, it exists, unlike the Lochness Monster...

thanks for posting all of these, they will be very useful references later.

Also, as it happens, I've another shot of the Achzarit with the guardrail on the rear deck. I'll forward it once I'm home, in the morning (here).

I have a soft spot for the "Nakpadon" as well. Until the "Namer" came out, it was the most heavily armoured APC in the world. I'll try to dig up some more pictures of it.

Kylie, the link is to a Nagmachon doghouse variant I've never seen before, no to an early Achzarit with three RCWS's...

Hay ReluctantRenegade, great shots, yet again!

I didn't make it to my desk at home... I woke up this afternoon and my wife told me there was a leak in the laundry. I told her to put it in the fridge with the other veges... she wasn't impressed. Needless to say, I spent the afternoon / evening working on that before coming to work tonight. I'm on days off after this, and will have that Achzarit posted tomorrow for you.

in the mean time, keep up the good posts.

Oh yeah, wives have a tendency to interfere with modelling at the worst possible times...Even though I like to outsource from time to time some small projects to mine. She's a designer, she's kinda has the touch for it...

An experimental heavy APC based on the "Magach", the "Magachon". The project was cancelled due to the fact the the "Sho't" proved to be a much better platform for a HAPC in terms of ease of conversion and survivability.

Another experimental vehicle that never entered service: a "Merkava" based 155mm SPG, the "Sholef".
