DML does seem to have a habit of putting tiny vehicles in huge boxes, don't they? I wonder if they're trying to compensate for something....

DML's is a very nice model of the Sd.Kfz.10. The interior is much better detailed than any of its' competitors. As to the real thing, the D7 is a very nice piece of complex clockwork wrapped in a classic 1934 style body. One of my favorites.

Here’s my entry for this campaing. I already started with it, but my plans are to build both OOB versions from the model and the last one from Iraq Rolling Thunder with all the HARDOX 400 stell plates on it.

Some progress on my Sd.Kfz. 6(type BN9b) build:

Some scratch was done on the engine to make it look like the HL54 TUKRM used in BN9b version(Bronco's kit provides the NL38 TUKRM used in earlier version)

Another area of modification is the rear frame of the chassis-Bulgarian Sd.Kfz.6 had a higher center section,thus higher mounting of towing bracket.

Clayton, tracks were painted using a recipe from Andy's Hobby Headquarter Youtube Channel(one of my favorite subscriptions):
-Basecoat XF-1;
-Thin spray of a rust-tone mixture XF-1(50%),XF-68(40%),XF-7(10%)-Andy's recipe uses XF-69 instead of XF-1.I changed it for this build as it would result in too much gray on a gray vehicle.
-AK Rubber Tyres brushpainted on rubber pads.

Angel, I think those white "L's" on the front fenders are supposed to be in the extreme lower outside corners of the fenders. They are to serve as width markers for other vehicles passing this vehicle at night, going in the opposite direction. Sorry.

But on the vehicle I model(reg. plate B 75611/probable Fahrgestellnummer 5011,delivered in Bulgaria in mid-July 1941) they seem to be painted quite high:

Hi guys making some progress, my build is complete and the tracks are on and painted

Now onto some storage and detail painting.
Oh and fount this figure in the spare box I think its Tamiya

I went back and edited my build with the rehosted pictures. It's a shame so many builds were ruined by the Photobucket deal.
Still, I saw some great builds.

I'm calling my Zvezda Gaz-AAA and Miniart Field Kitchen done.
I wanted to do more but the truth is, I'm just ready to move on to other builds. So no stowage for the truck and no crew. I have plans for this later, so all that will come in due time.




Again, I enjoyed the build. The Zvezda kit was crude and basic, but was interesting. The Miniart Field Kitchen was nice. It could have been better...maybe some more options to openign stuff to show it being used.

Anyway, the build photos have been rehosted and I'll load a finished picture into the gallery. Thanks for the campaign.

I like that Pz38, have the same in stash waiting for another Czech Tank Campaign or a Pz35 / 38 Campaign...

How were the MG's and the tracks on your kit ?

Here’s an advanced. I practically painted the trucks cabin controls and insides and I got all the custom parts ready to build.

John the whole kit is pretty well detailed it was a shame to close it all up. The tracks went together without a problems Dragons link count was pretty much on the money

Got some more work in. Interior bits painted and glued down, and the dashboard decals applied.

The level of detail in the current D7, Sd. Kfz. 10 kit is far cry (great improvement) over even the best kits of a few years back.
