@Jay--welcome back to the hobby.
Good clean build. None of the fingerprints and glue smudges that cover mine! Nice addition of details--tow ropes, headlight cabling, engine grille covers and all.

What are the antennae made from? Guitar string?
How do you plan on painting the clear parts--the taillights and such--that reside under the protective frames?

Thanks! It is .5mm Styrene. My wife and I live in a one bed apartment, sadly there is no way I can run my air brush.........anyway I applied very little glue on those parts, so it will be easy to take it apart when I paint it

I am totally with you, the Chally took me around 8 hours to finish and everything looks right(except the anti-slip), built it straight out of the box......Academy Merkava, I spent 16 hours on the balls&chains.

And I cannot imagine a better re-introduction to models, as Tamiyas are so easy to put together, the parts fit perfectly, and the instructions are ideal. I built my Chally out of the box, but I ended up buying several more the same kit, with a bunch of aftermarket stuff, including tracks, photo etch, bar armor, etc. I will put anti-slip on any other ones I do. i have so many other models now that it will probably be many years until I get back to building the Challengers that I have, but it will be great fun when I get around to them.

You did a really nice job on your tanks! I hope you enjoy your return to the hobby as much as I have. Best of luck!
