first closeups I've seen of the sprues, sources seem to differ as to whether they're based on the M or M1. Maybe both as the Czechs manufactured both under license but the turret in the kit looks like it may be an M1 so we may be getting closer to a Trumpeter T-72A/M1 .

Just started mine. From memory the turret looks like an M as it doesn't have the undercut where smoke dischargers used to be but I'll check when home tonight. It is a nice kit though.

The kit hull is M1 as it has the added armour on the glacis and the turret has the extended cheek armour of an M1 so I'm guessing that is the basis.

Hoping Trumpeter will eventually release an M, M1 and T-72A so I can do some NVA ones.
