This looks like a very nice modern soft skin kit.

ISAF...International Security Assistance Force

Modellers have been crying our for modern soft skin and civilian vehicles and I think the interior details will be just fine with some TLC.

Takom's approach to providing the option to modify the grill logo is very cunning. Copyright and the associated laws are in place for a reason...to protect a producer and allow them to maintain control of their designs and name. They don't do this with scale modellers in mind. They do it with a the very real reason of international piracy and substandard copycat products on the real life market. They are not trying to hold back modellers from having tire side wall lettering or a grill logo. It is also about the branding and product messaging. If the company cared not about their logo being used then there is always the potential for questionable box art scenes occurring and having a distinct logo front and centre.

Hopefully we'll see more outside the box releases from Takom soon.

Looks nice and good rundown in the video.

By the way, did you notice FineScale Modeler has copied your format for new kit review videos. You can check it out here. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Looks pretty cool. My only concern would be the round headlight version ceased production in 1986 - unless the military had an exception. Still, a cool lookin veedub - plenty of civilian options too!

There's lots of pics available showing the round headlight version T3 in service with the Bundeswehr including with ISAF in Afghanistan.
