Assault Models is a brand new resin figure company from Russia. Their first release is a real masterpiece in 1/35 scale sculpted by Dmitri Shevtsov: Sniper, US Marine Corps, Djibouti 2012 (AM35001).

Both of the figures you have reviewed from this company Mario look excellent, but I do hope to see some action poses along these lines.

These were based on the photo I supplied with the review where USMC Snipers posed for the photoshoot. Although the poses are static, I think those two would make an impressive vignette.

Does anyone know about those overwhites? Are they standard and used in the desert or night, or only limited to cold weather?

The photo shows Marines wearing them in the desert, but I'm unfamiliar with the parka and would be interested in seeing another photo of it being worn in the desert. Someone here even asked if it was a training photo.

I've seen photos of urban settings with snipers wearing overwhites, as they blend better on the roofs of high buildings than usual SWAT black outfits. As for the photo I added to the review, yes it is USMC Sniper training in Djibouti.

Although one can find a lot of useless info, Google is your friend.

Thanks, Mario, for the info.
