Hi fellow Campaigners !!

With the whole Stryker Family in plastic, 234's, a bag full of LAV's and Trumpeter's working on the BTR's.
Heck why not get a Campaign for those mighty 8 wheelers ?!

Any scale, country & markings.

Late the year for a starting date.

What do you think ?

I have built Dragons 234/2 and just build the 234/3 for the Armored Car Campaign both were great builds so I added the 234/1 and 234/4 to my wish list. So count me in

Happy to see some interest guys !

@JP
No 10x10 or 6x6 or 4x4, just 8 wheelers.

I'm in with the Cyber Hobby 234/3. I'm about 60% finished with Dragon's 234/4 right now. Great little kits!

By the way are you looking at strictly armored 8x8 or anything goes as long as it has 8 wheels? I'm looking at soft skins, transports, 5th wheels and SPG like the 152mm Dana.

Any chance of including 6X6s as well? That would bring in the LAV's Cougar cousin, VABs, Fuchs, JGSDF Type82s, etc. You could even argue in a Horch.

If not, what about a BRDM scout cars with the drop down wheels? Technically that's 8 wheels in all.

Christopher,
these are ok

Alex, if the BRDM are built with the wheels down, that's ok.
For the VABs, Fuchs, JGSDF Type82s and other 6x6, maybe for another Campaign, a 6x6 Campaign or another Armored Car or APC Campaign.

I would prefer to stick to the 8x8, I think there are plenty of kits that can fit.

Let me know what you think.

No problem John. I'm just tossing about some ideas. I've got a Trumpy JGSDF Type 82 Command Vehicle in the stash. I figured I'd ask.

If I sign up I probably will do a Trumpy LAV. I've been wanting to pick one up since I finished that Italeri one for Unfinished Business.

Hi all,

It's atttractive. I knew many modern 8x8 vhcls: BTRs, Strikers, Type-96, MRAV Boxer, MAN 10t, M997/998... Maybe I'll buy the one.

But, can I take only the tractor from my available Trumpeter's Faun SLT-56 kit? I have no energy to finish the whole transporter.

Sincerely,
K.

I probably don't need to be signing up for any more campaigns, and I don't have an appropriate kit yet, but what the heck. It's just the kind of vehicles I like to build. I thought for a moment it might be just the excuse I needed to get Zvezda's SS-25, but then I realized that's a 14x14. Talk about axle envy...

I hate to be a rivet-counter or rain on your parade however the Faun SLT-56 is only an 8x6.

Are 'experimental and test vehicles' to be included - just thinking of some of the trial tank transporters from around the globe .

@ John Pereira

Hi John,

Good idea. If 8x8 campaign will start, I'll join ! I'm focused on veichles during WWII. So I'm thinking about a nice sd.kfz.231 (8rad). Hoping to have some time...

Regards
Giovanni
