Hello everyone.

I'm taking a break from armor building and have just begun Revell's 1/72 Type VII C U-boat. I bought the Nautilus wood deck and I was wondering: if I apllied a couple of enamel washes to the deck, could I then paint it in a dark grey to give it that creosote look. I have read that these boats may not have even had wood decks so I'd like to make it look as metallic as possible without warping the wood.

Also, when I assembled the two pieces of the deck, I noticed a small gap on both sides. I have seen other build projects with this same issue. Any thoughts on fillers?

Thanks.

Alex

I forgot to mention: I wanted to use acrylic paint over the enamel wash on the wooden deck. Thank you. Alex
