I'm kinda surprised no one has commented on Trumpeter's Tiran 6 announcement. I'm not an IDF modeler, but recent releases have piqued my curiosity. I may have to start doing some Israeli subjects. Here's the link on FB:

Only problem is, they screwed up the kit description on the release sheet.

Quoted Text

During the 6 Day War in 1967, the Israeli army captured repaired, modernized and put into service many captured T-54 & T-55 tanks. These were modernized to Ti-67 standard prior to the Yom Kippur War, and during that conflict Israel captured additional T-54s and T-55s. Ti-67s were withdrawn from active service at the end of the 1980s with many being converted into Achzarit APCs. The Achzarits have been in service with the Israeli Army since at least 1995. Kit consists of over 310 parts including metal gun, barrel, brass cable, photo-etched parts and individual track links.

Tiran 6 wasn't based off of a T55, but a T62, Not sure where they are finding their info.

Either way, will be a nice addition to the stash.

Even more weird since the model will be another variation based on their T-62 kit, and the fact that they do not produce a new T-55 kit -yet (that "yet" is a hope)-

Just a reminder, Ti-67 (tank israel 1967) is Tiran 4/5 base on T54/T55, start of Tiran line, It's not Tiran 6.

I have already seen this date at sockelshop that is why i am wondering why no sprueshots came out neither at Trumpeter's webpage nor at their facebook page Trumpeter used to provide sprueshots at least one month before the release of kits!
