Thanks Michael but I think I'll pass for now. I might try to squeeze in something for Matt's M113 Campaign instead. Plus I have a few other campaigns I still have to source kits for...like the StuG and KV campaigns. I might save the Renault and 25mm gun for the Case Yellow Campaign. Maybe squeeze in a two-for along with the Renault Tank I plan on doing for that one. We'll see how things are shaping up closer to the start date.

Anyway, good luck with your campaign though.

So has everyone figured out what they'd be building when it comes time to?

I am in with a T-80. The WWII one not the modern MBT.

When it gets approved, either a T-26 or the T-30S... both by Hobby Boss.

I'd tell, but then I'd have to later sheepishly admit to changing my mind for the eleventh time!

I have LOTS of candidates. Pz 1, Pz II, Vickers, Pz 38(t) (but I think that could be pushing it, still... with only 10 or so 38(t) kits in the closet...), Russian T-38, T-38A, T-50, T-60, T-70, T-26 type, Japanese things, Hotchkiss and Renault types... I have choices! Strangely, they ALL call loudly - it's deafening around here!

Whenever this kicks off, I'll do some sort of card-draw or dice-rolling and pull something from the pile!

Regarding the 38(t), the Czechoslovakian Army designated it as a light tank. Since it was their design shouldn't it count for this campaign?

The 38(t) does count. I made a post about it on the second page. I had noticed on some sources that it was classified as a medium tank, but for intents and purposes of this campaign, it will be included in this campaign.

Oh. And I'm going to be building a Tamiya M5 Stuart, an AFV Club M41A3 Walker Bulldog, and a Testors Chaffee

So is everyone here excited for the start of the build coming up? Is everyone still on board? Also we're only 2 participants away from having 10...

Is the campaign official? I am itching to start but it seems dead.

Not official yet. Still needs 2 more participants. I guess no one wants to join because there was a Light Tanks build that recently ended before I brought up this one.

You can count me in, so you'll only need one more. I have a Tristar Panzer I or a HobbyBoss T-26 I could build. I plan on building them as Spanish Civil War tanks.

I'm in, I'll source a Sherman or hellcat from somewhere, but this one has my full support!

Can't do Shermans or Hellcats. They're not light tanks. The Sherman is a medium tank and the Hellcat is a tank destroyer/ gun carriage. This campaign proposal is for light tanks.

Better start ramping this up before you loose interest!

Start posting some pics and drawings to get the last one!

Right... So... Just random pics of light tanks? I think we should just post pictures of tanks that we're gaining "inspiration" from with this build.

Here are some ideas. Might be building a T-80, BT-7, T-26, or M-41. So many choices.

No pics are mine and are for discussion purposes only.

Those are very nice pictures there Peter. Saved to my files WWII Vehicle files.

Well I might as well get in on the pictures as well.

Here's a M41 in German colors:

And a M41B in Danish colors:

And a Bulldog in service with Taiwan:

A Pz.Kpfw.35(t):

A British Scorpion:

I do like the side view mirrors.

I do hope that more than one more person does decide to sign up... But for now all we need is one more.

I have a Tamiya Stuart M3. I've heard they're not accurate; I wouldn't know. I'm mostly looking for the weathering experience, and would just like to do a tank. OOB.

I will sign-up, if you'll have an airplane guy who's never quite finished a tank yet.
