Todd Michalak reviews Tankograd''s new publication "British Trucks in Wermacht Service". It is obvious from the book that, particularly in North Africa, British trucks formed a major part of the German transportation system.

I agree this book is a must have. I've bought it although it's not my primary subject and never regretted it. It's a book so great you get back to it often, read it once then opened it many times to browse, those photos are so great! Best book purchase of the year for me so far.

Cheers,

Christophe

Hi Christophe,

Does the book by some miracle have any pictures of a Bedford QL gun portee, with a flak gun mounted on it?? As I am wanting to model one with a 3.7mm on it.

Cheers Mike

You mean 3.7cm? Or 37mm?

No Bedford QL in the book, just checked. Have you seen pics of such a truck with a 3.7cm on it? Most trucks with Flak (except really heavy ones) seem to have 2cm guns only...

Cheers,

Christophe

Sorry the 37mm, no I have never seen any photos of one I just thought that if the Afrika Corp had captured any, which I consider was very possible that,

A) they would have been to small to mount a pak 7.5on & use in a similar way.

B) Mounting a 20mm would have been a waste of such a strong truck so why not just mount a bigger 37mm
