Recently I unpacked some of my figures. They have had a rough time of it, having traveled some 4,000+ miles in the past 5 years. Parts and limbs missing...

I am trying to restore them to their former glory. Here are 5 Fallschirmjägern of 2 sets:

Italeri 1/35 Fallschirmjäger
ESCI 1/35 "Green Devils"

The Italeri figures are some of the last that I have built, as recently as...er, summer 1992! They are decent although probably closer to 1/32. And curiously, Italeri made them left-handed!

The ESCI figure set I built June 18 - 28, 1982! That probably accounts for the glossier paint, probably Testors PLA Enamels (when they were 27₵ per bottle!). I actually have sprue shots of the ESCI set ready for a nice review. With my assembled oldies, it will be a BUILT.

Enjoy.

Oh, I remember those old ESCI and Italeri figures... at the time those were the only thing that could be find in 1/32 scale. I remember I would clean them up, build and paint them in one afternoon... and I was happy with my modeling!

Good old days, eh?
