Okay I have another question. Live Resin provides several options for different sized 40mm ammo boxes for the tripod shown here. Can anyone please share more details and photos on the connection between the box support and the gun/tripod? Seems like the weight of some storage boxes (like the 60mm mortar box full of 40mm belt) would tip the entire Mk47 on its side? Any good words would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you Henk. This is only my best guess at cable connections based on photos as shown in the link up above. Please let me know what additional information you have on this? Many thanks - S

Question: Is this possible to mount this much ammo on the side of a tripod and still be stable?

Thanks for your comments!

I wouldn't try shooting without nailing the tripod down. It is a lot of weight that will be to the side.
But if you google mk 19, and look through the pic's, you can see the ammo box attached to the tripod, but also some with the ammo box on the ground.

Thank you Per. Yes. I just wonder if since the Mk 19 is a heavier gun, if the ammo loading hanging on the side worked the same? I will look for more Mk 19 tripod photos as you suggest.

As you say, this Mk19 example on a tripod with the heavy side load is clearly "nailed down".

...from a web search of Mk19 photos.
