Kencelot, throught his contribution of excellent links and alla round service. Additionally, this is starting to make me feel a little like Dorothy, You know, the tin man for his heart of Gold, and the Scarecrow for his brains. There are parallels if you look hard enough. Jim is the obvious fore runnneer, fot his hard work and dedication. A coulpe of guys that have been over looked, for their constant good humour are Mario, Armoured Sprue, and Tread. That's it then:

Ken
Jim
Armoured Sprue
Treadhead
Maki
Barney Rubble....What oh er he's not in the running? What about Nastasia Kinsky, Great pouty, last Tango in Paris, type lips after all.....Sorry.

Yeah and Sabot, of course. But that's a rather foregone conclusion no?

Thanks everyone for your nominations. This time around I will leave myself off the list (as I would not like to see me win first). But thanks to everyone who nominated me this time around.

The nominees for this month in no particular order:

Jim Lewis (guntruck)
Dana Geraths (dgeraths)
Rob Gronovius (sabot)
Ken Fortier (kencelot)
Toni Kysenius (envar)

I will be putting up the voting booth shortly. Stay tuned.

Thanks,
Jim

Before there was an Armorama.com Sabot was helping folks on RMS. I know he helped me ease back into the hobby. There are a lot of good folks here, lot's of expertise and sharing. It won't be hard to find nominees each month. But I think Sabot is a great choice for our first winner.

Dang, take a day off from work (where I have Armorama running in the background) and I miss this big long post. Looks like I'm coming into the tail end of it. I thank all of you who nominated me. I sort of feel like Jim and that I should be left off the list. Without you guys asking questions, I'd have nothing to answer to, well I guess I'd still be uploading photos

Jim gave me almost limitless access to the site, and to me, that was one of the biggest honors I've received here. Remember, 5 months ago we were all total strangers and he has drawn us together into this online club. I've gotten trades with some of you guys, had professional conversations with others (heck DJ and I must have served at Knox at the exact same time and we nver met.). And I do remember sending Chuck the Verlinden whoopie light way back when.

Jim's done a lot to bring us all together and even if he declares himself ineligible to receive the $20 prize, he deserves the first "award", even if it is honorary. Besides, I get that neat "M" medal and all those stars...and if I had a $20 gift certificate, I'd probably spend $60.

If not too late -
I would honestly give my vote to Mike Taylor.
His excellent instruction to his articles are prize winning
material, and combined with his universal talent and skills
in building a variety of military models, and also include them
in his articles as examples of modeling accuracy and what
one can achieve through his techniques is well worth his nomination.

Rob,
Well said. Here, here!

That's why your going to be honored. If not this time then soon. Just sit back and accept the accolades. No wonder you rose through the ranks, your so humble. Another honorable trait.

Cheers,
Jim

Dang, take a day off from work and I miss this big long post.

I was out for a week and I'm just reading this tread thinking to be a bit late... But anyhow, here are my favourites:

Rob (Sabot) for the reasons we all know. He helped me with the first question I posed on Armorama, too... Thanks man.
Kencelot for providing all those valuable links (man where do you find all that stuff?)
TreadHead and Yodaman for bringing a laugh in almost every post (GO Red Wings!!!! , guys you are incredible)... here I must also mention CaptainJack as the wackiest of the bunch...
Epi, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you.. Thanks for all the references I needed for my projects. I hope to post some pics real soon.
all of you, dear friends who have offered a helping hand and who have shared a tip or two during this couple of months Armorama is on. I really feel we are conected by the worlds greatest modeling site... therefore my ultimate vote goes to....

Jim, the master of the web... Thanks for making all this possible... and making all of us Armorama addicts

Mario M.

Mario,
I wondered where you had run off too. Your absence was noted.

Thanks for the kind words. All of you.

Oohhhh c'mon....I just came in here....overwhelmed by the acceptance of you all. Who to vote for then ????

Jim; I know how you feel on not wanting to win this first one... I'll respect that and, though I think that you really deserve it, even if it's the first one, vote for someone else. But we couldn't have helped eachtother if you dindn't build this "Platinum-site".

So nomination then....: GunTruck for giving me the most essential information on what this hobby is about. He told me, on one of my first visits, to just have fun with the hobby. And thats the essential part we forget so often.

Go GUNTRUCK Go.....

i would like to ignore all the little people who made this possible, and may i always take you for granted. your underwhelming support made me choke inside and left me with this feeling of uselessness. may my work continue to insult your intelligence and my words test your patience. thank you, now get lost.

how's this for an acceptance speech
