That was an excellent build review. It is always so nice when someone else goes through the trouble of identifying pitfalls and trouble spots so i don't have to!

Thanks for the comments, and thanks James for getting this up. The kit includes 8 return rollers, so the M19 and M41 may not be too far off. I don't know if I mentioned, but there is a lens for the spotlight, which was another nice detail. I wonder now if AFV Club will release theirs, and if so, how it will go together. Correction on the reivew. What I called the turret traversing mechanism is the turret hydraulic pump and handle. It's the big cylinder. That was from a walkaround photo at Toadman's.

Fantastic review! I'm looking forward to building this one! And I will heed your advice...

I recommend building with relaxing music in a peaceful location, and avoid the use of stimulants as some of the assembly could be aggravating.

Cheers!

I read the whole thing last night and followed along with my directions. There's only 1 typo I saw, but it basically referred to a part installed in a previous step that was numbered wrong. No big deal and easy to understand the intent. Course, I forget what it is now.

There's a few little accuracy issues that Russ didn't catch since he didn't have a lot of reference available. For instance, the rear 'brackets' for the flotation devices should not be added for an "early" M24. They didn't show up until after the front brackets (not included in the kit) were being added to M24's.

Russ, thanks for the review. I just got back in the hobby after years of lay off. I got too eager and bought the Italeri kit instead of waiting for the Bronco release but I decided to upadte it with the Verlinden M24 Chaffee detail set.I wish I would have waited a bit longer for the new Bronco kit. I ended up spending about the same amount of money in the end with the Italeri kit and update kit.

Geraint and Mike, thank you.

Late news, but worth attaching to the review as Bronco have now fixed the turret issue, and it is available either as a replacement part if you have an initial production boxing, or an included part starting in their February production.
