Great Review. I was really excited about adding this one to my stash until I saw the price was $72 at GM. Seems like a lot of money for so little in the box. Interesting subject, though. Maybe the price will come down after a while.

Rgeraci: $48.99 in stock at Lucky Model. Still might be a little much to pay, but better than $72.

Just a quick update if I may?

The large wheels are actually the front wheels and single small wheel is the back turning wheel, the turret is also at the front. Looks like it's facing the wrong way but it's not.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Thanks for pointing that out Terry. I guess I was thinking it worked more like a farm tractor, but having the larger armored wheels up front taking the brunt of the mine detonations makes a lot more sense. Is there any data on numbers of these built or deployments, etc?

Thanks again,
Jim

A definite must have. I was close to buying the RPM, but read horror stories about that one.

Thanks for the peek in the box Jim, looks like Meng did a pretty good job on this judging from the first look. I'm not sure why they used weighted pads in the kit though...unless someone wants to roll it around

Some say twins were built, others say one...all we really know is that one was actually built and is now resting at Kubinka. Since this monster was deemed obsolete upon completion I don't believe it made it off the testing grounds, so never deployed.
