Hi all,
Okay I have a friend in the UK that is going to be doing a British Ship, Sir Lancelot Mine sweeper.

He cannot find any figures in 1/32 scale for the sailors, so any help on locating any, would be appreciated.

Have tried to steer him to 1/35 scale no way and all Poo.

So any help appreciated.

Thanks

cheers
Jeff

Airfix do their multipose figures of British and German infantry that could be converted to sailers with a bit of work.

Might be able to hunt them out on evilbay if they are still in circulation.

Also they do the other ready made figures in plastic that with a bit of creativity could be useful.

Duffle coats can be added in the same way as adding long trousers using thin sheets of miliput or other sculpting medium.

At least the figures would be the right scale to start.

Mind you, not all real people are the same size so using a couple of 1/35 figures with 1.32 scale eqipment might actually look good if done correctly.

Sailor/Seamen figures in any scale are grossly underrepreseted!
You may try the vendors for 54mm figures. 54mm are so-to speak 1/32 scale, but you won't find any RN, I am quite sure. The only way may be to buy some figures and change them according to your needs.
Cheers,

Hi Jeff,

Don't know of any 1/32 scale figs. If you look at the Wee Friends Range of figuers from Friendship Models, whilst these are 1/35 scale they are at the correct size not the small type.

They most probably have the order of dress your friend is looking for. What's important is to use the same size kit regardless of scale as humans come in all sizes.

There are quite big variations even in 1/35 scale but they will fit together provided the kit is the same.

Thanks I will point him to a few places but he is set on using 1/32 scale.

As a British person I cannot change his mind.

No matter what I show him.

Stubborn and set in his ways just like me.

Thanks Alan.

The kit he bought is the Sir Lancelot from here.
