Matt,

Thanks for a great review - well written, informative and objective.

I saw one of these on a local hobby tool supplier's site and was tossing up between this one and one of the more permanent (and more expensive) booths. After reading your review I'm certain this is the route to go for me.

Thanks mate!

Thanks for the review. could be the thing for me if it had some kind of ventilation outlet (like a hose to carry the fumes out)

That's something I do think it lacks as well, but I think I could find a hose relatively cheaply from my local hardware store.

Thanks for the review Matt!

Not sure what the diameter of the fan is, but like Matt says in the review it should be a fairly simple task to hook up an inexpensive dryer duct. A 4" PVC collar could probably be permanently mounted to make it easier (?) Looking at maybe $10 total.

indeed, but you'll have a hard time connecting it: you need some kind of a air duct which it lacks.

Surely one could use the collar James mentions above? Else... duct tape... I've seen aircraft, utility vehicles, and mini-bus taxis held together with duct tape... if it's good enough for them, it'll be good enough for the spray booth

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Here are 2 close up photos of the back. The fan opening is 4.5" across and the screws are 6" apart at the diameter. If you unscrew the wire guard, the screws and holes are already there for you to mount a $4 aluminum dryer duct collar permanently to the back of the booth with the same screws. It would be very simple and take about 3 minutes to do. It would only stick out about 4". Then you could carry it around, and when you open it up to spray, slide a $4 dryer hose on the collar and out the window. When you're done, slide the hose off, collapse the hose and the booth, and slip them under the bed or in the closet. It couldn't be easier or more cost effective.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for those extra pics - might I suggest you ask James to add them to the review? Perhaps also the dryer duct collar suggestion? It is a great one

Hope we see more reviews from you

If I didn't have a large Paasche spray booth, I certainly would consider picking up that one. A few extra bucks for the duct fitting, and vent hose, it appears to be perfect for the apartment dweller, or small home workshop.

Thanks for the video, Alan

Does anyone know if the filter can be removed (I would presume it could be)? And are replacement filters available?

Um, Rudi, you REALLY need this spray booth! Those fumes are killing your short term memory!
From my review: "The poly fiber filter at the back of the booth is removable and replaceable. Model Expo sells replacement filters, but the filter material can be purchased very inexpensively at a home improvement store and cut to size with scissors."

LOL! Okay, so after cleaning the egg from my face, for my second act I'll try fitting both my feet in my mouth

Matt, the scary thing is I quickly reread the review before asking the question.... I think I need: 1) new glasses; and 2) more cawfee

Thanks mate!
