Have you built a 1/700 tirpitz or Bismark?

I'm about to start my 1/700 Tirpitz from DML (with White Ensign PE) and am wondering if anyone has any experience or advice to offer.

I typically, build armor and am having some trouble planning everything out. (which sub-assemblies should be made before put onto the hull, what to paint before assembly, if I can make it before putting it in the water base, etc.)

I'm really hit or miss with my ships, so any help making this one a hit would be great!

Hi Steve-o

Well, I must admit that I have a DKM Bismark on my stash and also some PE, but I haven't made it yet, or schedule it to.
Of your questions, I can answer one for sure (at least this is the way I do it!):
- Make the water before you start adding parts to the hull!
This way you can experience how you are going to place it on the base, and you can make the waves, without ruining any of the delicate PE parts that will be all over.

Wait a little bit more - I am sure there will be a input for your (other) questions!
Cheers and please, keep us posted on your progress
