Introduction

This review is for FCMODELS Decals sheets.
The sets included in this review are set number, 35220; 35222; 35223 and 35225.
These are for A.F.V.'s from w.w.1 to the present for different countries.

These decals come in a re sealable tape clear plastic bag with a tissue sheet to protect from scratching. Included for each A.F.V. are a color print sheet which gives you the placement location for each set of decals and possible painting schemes. The carrier film is almost right to the edge of each decal though some might need a light cut with a straight edge along the side.

I used one decal to see how it reacted to a surface with a half round. It settled down with a drop of Walther solveaset. It looks to me as though it was painted on. I am very impressed with how it worked and ended up.

The following is a list of the sheets and what A.F.V.'s they go to. Obviously there are other sets in between the numbered sets I received.

Set # 35220 is for the BT-5y (from 1937) and BA-6 (1936/1937) . It covers some of the Spanish civil war. There is a total of 117 decals for a total of 7 different vehicles. 4 sets for the BT-5y and 3 sets for the BA-6

Set Number 35222 is for the panzer 1 (1936/ 1950) It also covers the Spanish civil war. Total of 175 decals for 6 vehicles. 6 sets of decals for the panzer 1.

Set number 35223 is for the AML-60 and the AML-90 (I believe they are modern as to the vehicles they cover. Unfortunately I don't speak or read Spanish and my translator doesn't work right but if you have the mentioned A>F>V>'s you'll know where they fit. A total of 140 decals make up this set and you get decals for 11 AML-60's and 13 for the AML-90.

Set number 35225is for the French FT-17 and the M1912 6 ton tank. The FT-17 decals are broken down as to the Berliet turret (cast), or the Girod (riveted) and the 6 tonner. It cover a time era from 1918 to 1940. A total of 119 decals are provided for a total of 19 AFV's. The countries included in this set are as follows. Spain, Russia, Poland, U.S.A., Morocco, Brazil, Lithuania, Germany, France, Japan, China, and of course the U.S.M.C. in the U.S.

These sets of decals fill an empty space that the model companies can't cover. They are printed well (aside from the 4 decal problems) of being off register. The decals with a problem are set #35222, (a large capitol A is off) ; set #35223 (2 decals off set) and set #35225 has the China Nat. symbol with a red drizzle). It only involves 4 decals and probably has been straightened out by now. I e-mailed the company to let them know off the off set and the one red drizzle across the Chinese national emblem. The diversity of individual markings per set gives a modeler a wide range to choose from. They place well, are colorful and you will have a ton of leftovers for future projects. That is unless you build a vehicle for each set and we wouldn't do that now would we. I highly recommend these decals for anyone wanting these specific time eras. Excellent is what I call them and give the 1 to 10 rating of 9.5

Now I want to finish my FT-17 so I can use these decals.
SUMMARY
Highs: Fills a very needed gap, good decals.
Lows: few decals printed slightly offset.
Verdict: Excellent is what I call them and give the 1 to 10 rating of 9.5.
