Introduction

Armor35 continues to expand their line of World War II-era Eastern Front military and civilian figures, and railway models, with Street Sweeper, model 35145.

Street Sweeper...

...is a gray resin figure kit. He consists of five parts:

1. Body, sans arms
2. Left arm
3. Right arm
4. Broom stick
5. Broom

Those parts are contained in zip-lock baggies held in a small box.

Like so many of Armor35's figures, casting quality is clean and top-notch with no air pocks, mold seams or flash. The figure features sharp and crisp casting with good undercuts and raised details.

The figure is sculpted in a natural stance, at rest, holding the broom.

From the front the figure looks like he would fit into most any European nationality in the early Twentieth Century. However, the visible tunic from the back, too me, looks distinctly Russian.

Detail

The face is very detailed with amazing eye and nose detail surrounded by a full beard. The beard has convincing texture. Except for the cheeks he looks like Tsar Nicholas II. The figure is crowned with a peak cap and dressed in a tunic, baggy pants and knee boots. The most prominent feature is the apron. What appears to be an oval badge is over the left breast. The left hand holds a rag.

Clothing detail includes buttons, seams, and convincing folds.

The broom is a two part assembly with the right hand molded onto it. The broom straw is distinct, as is the string that binds it.

Painting and Assembly Instructions

Not uncommon for resin figures, there are no painting and assembly instructions except for the box art.

Assembly should be easy as Armor35 sculpts the parts and then presses them into the figure, leaving an indention into which pieces fit without uncertainty.

Conclusion

Armor35 has sculpted and cast yet another interesting ubiquitous subject for the era and area so popular with WWII modelers. It should be popular with diorama makers who want some civilians in their scene.

I have nothing to complain about this figure.
