introduction

The German armament industry produced a number of 2cm (20mm) weapons. The L/50 Kw.K. 38 was fitted to a number of AFVs this is a different barrel to the Flak 38 but it does share the same flash hider.

review

This is a simple addition to any model, arriving in a small ziploc bag with a card header. Inside the ziploc bag there is a smaller bag containing the L/50 barrel and a separate flash hider. The flash hider is finely detailed and matches the flash hider seen on the full sized example.

The modeller will need to remove the existing barrel and then drill a pilot hole to accept the locating pin. The barrel is then glued in position and the flash hider can be added.

conclusion

This is a simple addition for many of the available 2cm (20mm) cannons that are widely available. The L/50 Kw.K. 38 was found on AFVs such as the SdKfz 222 and others but please note that this is a different barrel to the L55 seen on the Panzer 2 and others so check your references carefully.

I began modelling way back when Matchbox appeared on the scene with their new range. It began an interest in a hobby that has spanned 40 years.... and has seen the greatest resurgence in recent years. The only breaks in the hobby have been for the usual reasons that most modellers experience; caree...
