Bronco Models have just sent us images of what will be their Release Program for June 2010.
Following the bombshell from Bronco over the announcement of the 17 Pounder A/T gun, possibly Axis modelers were feeling a little left out. However, as the company has an excellent reputaion for being 'even-handed' in its releases, there was no room for concern!

The three announced releases are:

CB35057 - German 2cm Flakvierling 38 w/Sd.Ah 52 carriage trailer

CB35031 - Land-Wasser-Schlepper (Early Production)

CB35038 - 7.62cm FK36(r) auf PzJgr Selbstfahrlafette Zugkraftwagen 5t 'Diana'

Although ALL these releases have their merits, the most interesting is doubtless the Zugkraftwagen 5t which signifies the beginning of a series of vehicles on this chassis. I'd imagine the prime mover won't be far behind?

Our thanks, once again, to Bronco Model for the Update!

It's strange, that's what was said 9 years ago when AFV Club announced the Sdfz. 11, yet I seldom see them built, and often see them for sale at a discount.

[/quote] Hmmm You might be right with that. I can't speak for others but I have built 3 of them. The SdKfz 11 Einheitsfuhrerhaus, The SdKfz 11/4 Nebelkraftwagen and the SdKFz 11 standard version. And I still have the special pack with the 11 and the LeFH18 and all the bonusbits in the stash... I love those kits to bits. They are brilliant and superbly detailed.

Fantastic...I've been waiting on an injection molded kit of the SdKfz.6 forever. I'm definitely getting this one and any further releases of this halftrack. I think this one will be well received by German WWII armor fans. I've seen many pictures of this vehicle but I thought it would probably never be released in kit form. Bronco models are really setting the bar high. The crafsmanship of their kits is just stunning. I just received the British motorcycle and MP set...I was blown away by the kit. Bravo Bronco! Looking forward to all the future SdKfz.6 releases. Jeff

This looks really cool, almost like it was invented as an after thought - hey let's stick a big bunker on a little halftrack! Very original and unique - start of a line of kits maybe? Ws this used only in Africa?

Yeah Basically this was the result from experimenting the Germans did with mounting the 7,62 cm Regimental gun on the SdKfz 6. An earlier experiment was done before the war broke out but that was never continued. In Africa they tried it again more or less resulting in 9 of those vehicles. The vehicles were outfitted with the Russian 7,62 AT gun

WOW , a "Diana" in plastic ! I never thought I'd live to see the day !!! Good for you, Bronco. I may just be tempted to get one myself when it is released. Cheers ! Kenneth .

Guess I can't blame Bronco for chasing the "German Market" $$$, but I am kinda bumming. The 5t halftrack is a long overdue and fairly important subject that deserves to finally be kitted, but another LwS (I'm sure it will be the best kit so far, but still...) and yet another Flakvierling are IMO wasted tooling. If they really wanted to do an amphibian, there are plenty of subjects that were much more widely used and still not kitted in plastic (or very poorly done / very dated). Hey Bronco, how about a new Ford GPA? How about a new M29 (two versions with one set of suspension tooling to market there guys!)? Or, even better yet, how about a Terrapin? You know, vehicles that were actually used for more than a couple of publicity photos. I know... I know... I shouldn't complain, really. Bronco has released some beautiful kits of some Allied vehicles that have been long overdue, so they've done the modeling world a great service to date. And, with the new releases, if I'm choosing between one of Bronco's newer kits and one that's been released years ago, Bronco will get my $$$. Guess I was just wishing that they would keep up the superlative work filling in the holes in available Allied modeling subjects. Better luck with their next releases, I hope! Mike

The significance of the 5t prime mover in styrene is HUGE. This will mean only the Sd.Kfz.8 is missing in plastic. Well done, Bronco!
