Diopark, who launched their Diorama range a few months ago have just sent us images and details of a what looks to be a very versatile set in 1/35th scale.
DP35003 - Dining Set

Now, for those who are accustomed to sets of this type in Resin (with an understandably higher price-tag), this New set is injection-moulded styrene. Thought that'd get your attention...

Contents of the kit are as follows (sounds like a Wedding list):

Dinner table x1
Chair x2
Chair cushion x2
Large dinner plate x2
Small dinner plate x2
Table spoon & fork x2 each
Soup bowl x2
Soup ladle x1
Coffee cup & plate x2 each
Coffee jug x1
Silver tray x1
Large glass pot plant x1
Small glass pot plant x1
Water jug x1
Red wine x3
Whisky wine x1
High wine glass x1
Milk jug x1

And all this injection-moulded!

Our thanks to Diopark for the Update!

Pretty niffty, nice idea of the colored ring decals for the plates.

I don't agree - what can be more fun than painting your own? Simple really, 4 days of preparation without caffeine, tobacco and anything containing additives and colorants. Look no trembling in MY hands! On the other hand, yes it IS a brilliant addition!

Sometimes -rarely- something on those news wakes me up a little bit and strikes me as being a truly valuable addition to a modeller's stash, and this set is one. I really like flower pot and the thing for water that actually looks like it's being done out of transparent resin. Now Mr Diopark, i would really like to see a set of *transparent* bottles like the one Verlinden put out a dozen years ago, except that it wasn't a transparent set.

I guess they were reading my mind. This is a great looking set and a must have for me. The idea and attempt of scratch building silverware has driven me into modelers dispair. I enjoy scratchbuilding but this saves me my sanity. Really cool idea with the decals, yes. I gave up on the porcelen bowl after several trys to paint it. Dinning outside the box, fine job Diopack.

Jim,Your killing me with all these new releases/reviews/previews. I don't have enough money for all this cool stuff, I'm going to need a part time job just for all these goodies. Anybody out there hiring?........Vince
